Moving to Denver, CO

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 20, 2009, 5:46 PM
Hello everyone!

I'd like to announce that I am relocating to Denver, Colorado from my current residence in central Florida end of this month. I had accepted a job opportunity with another game developer called NetDevil and will be working on a ongoing MMO project called "Lego Universe" as a Senior 3D Artist. It is a good opportunity and a right step in my career. I was in Denver this week to check out the studio and also find new place to live. Climate is defiantly different as its colder and more dry there and it will take me sometime to adjust as its my first time in the mountains, but I am looking forward to snowboarding and new opportunities with landscape photography and of cause my new job. The studio is really awesome as its at least five times bigger then the one I was in last. I will see if I can post some pictures ones I settle in...

Cheers and Thanks for Watching!

p.s. If you are in Denver, do Let me know. Lets hang out...

My New game out.

DIRT 2 FOR DS - My New Game is OUT.

Hello Everyone,

So it’s been a while since my last journal, but long enough to make a new game. And here it is: Dirt 2 for Nintendo DS, came out just a few days ago, was published by the name on the box and developed by our game studio, Fire Brand Games. My role on this one was supporting artist, mainly because I was also a lead artist on another game developed by our studio at the same time that had already been announced, but I will write about it when it comes out. So anyway. Dirt 2 on DS is a rally inspired simulation title with cool on and off road vehicles and a lot of cool unique tracks. Its been getting some impressive reviews lately from such sits as IGN and GameSpot, but you be the judge of it, so check that out!!

On a side note, I also want to give a little update of my personal life. As some of you may know I had a divorce this year from a seven (yes 7!) year old marriage. (I am 30). It happened earlier this year and I sure did my share of darker moments, but all of it is behind me now as I am in a new relationship with a lovely girl whom I had featured already in some of my photography here on the site. So that’s that…

I also want to thank everyone for your support and mention the fact that recently I have gone over the hill of having over a thousand watchers. To me it’s an incredible and the most important number as I don’t really care about page views. And just for fun, this guy is Mr.1000 :iconkaderian:

Finally,
A few links:
:iconzoomstock: - My stock account where I had been uploading lots of stock images of girls. Check it out and use what you want.
Club :iconpycc-3d: featuring Russian 3D artists that I have been managing, but have not visited in a long time.

And finally website at the bottom [link] is my new site that's currently work in progress, but when done will feature only my photography.

Cheers.

My New Game is Out

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 27, 2008, 7:45 PM
Hey all,

The first game I worked at my current job is out in stores. I have worked and working now on others, but his one is out first. The game is published by EA, but Nintendo DS version was developed by the outside studio (Firebrand Games - place where I work). This is the first game that I worked on as a Lead Artist and therefore was a different type of experience. I had a team of 7 artists to manage on the top of my usual duties as an artist. So there have been a few late nights, but overall a very fun and positive experience. The game is featuring open world environments which are a difficult thing to achieve on a limited system like DS. Our version of the game on DS is different when it comes to game play elements and all of the game content. We are featuring the same vehicles as the main game for ps3 and xbox360, but our body kits, spoilers and rims were all made by my team, from scratch and based on our own design. Environments are also very different. So if you have DS and enjoy racing games... Check it out!

Other games made by Firebrand Games before I joined the team:
TrackMania™ for DS
Race Driver: GRID™ for DS
Ferrari Challenge: Trofeo Pirelli for DS
Race Driver™: Create and Race™ for DS
Cartoon Network Racing for DS

2001 GAME predicts the future

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 11, 2008, 2:02 PM
In 2001 a video game was released called Ghost Recon. This video game perfectly predicts the current war between Russia and Georgia over South Ossetia. In game the events that take place happen on August 2008 over the Georgia territory...

I bet Putin was playing that game last week and decided to make the game a reality...

New Challenge

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 28, 2008, 1:01 PM
Starting today I am on a vacation from work. But it doesn’t mean I am on vacation from myself. Last week I challenged myself to re-create and animate another famous work of M.C. Escher. This one is called Ascending and Descending and it’s a building with cut off roof and a set of stairs that loops on its own. Its and never ending loop. Here it is

so you have an idea of what I am talking about.

My goal of cause is to re-create it in 3D and animate characters walking up and down the stairs... if it’s possible. I already know I can do the model. I figured it out... animation however is going to be tricky, but now that I have a week of free time. Watch out...

I will submit my results in 7 days.

My previous works with Escher:
