I was making a small intro for a game with this dragon... using fire particles again... and did this image while waiting for rendering to finish...

he not to bothe u but me and one of my friend have been trying to make a dragon for some time now but it has been hell do u mind sharing how u made yours it would be gladly welcome thank u

Well... first of all, dragon is a 3d model rendered out using Maya software render. Modeled in polys just like anything else. u should be able to do that... I have seen your work and you have skills for it. Then it has been textured using Maya again... and coz it’s a polygon model, it had to be UV mapped which can be a bitch if you never done it before. Now to animate it or to position it u most likely will need to rig it, which a whole new job all by itself. Probably the hardest too… Could take u few days if you are a good rigger or can take u up to a month if u are just learning. Likely for me, since I am in school, I am surrounded by bunch of people majoring in different professions so I, as an animator do not need to spend my time rigging or modeling if I don’t want to. I can just collaborate with someone else on that and give them credit for their work, while I animate it and they will give me credit for the movie I will make using that rig… ;) Finally the background I did in Bryce and the rest was just Photoshop...

p.s. if u want to learn dragon modeling Reeks has a good, detailed tutorial on his site.
