Hello all,
I am back from my 6 weeks trip to India and also my longest absence from DA since the day I had joined the site 9 years ago.
Overall I spent a total of 42 days in the country, had been in 5 different states and about 20 or so different cities. I had been to the lowest southern point in India, place called Cape Comorin where three different seas meet. I had been to the mountains and beaches, populated cities and small villages, forests, wildlife reserves and many other interesting spots.
I had traveled by many different types of vehicles including motorcycles, taxi cabs, rikshas, a horse, cars, full sleeper, semi-sleeper and coach buses, trains, subways, planes, boats and more. I have also rented a car and a motorcycle in Goa and had experienced crazy Indian driving first hand.
I have visited many different temples and memorable spots including, Taj Mahal and Red Fort in Agra, Hare Krishna and Dwarkadhish temples in Mathura, Lotus Temple and India Gate in Delhi, Gateway of India in Mumbai, Jantar Mantar in Delhi, Backwater ride in Kerala, beaches of Goa, mountains of Uttar Pradesh and many more. I seriously recommend to see Akshardham temple in New Delhi, as I was more impressed with that place then Taj Mahal. It was the most amazing architectural structure made by man I ever seen. Check it out yourself.
Had some unforgettable experiences, such as chasing after a train in Mathura, getting into argument with taxi drivers in Agra, dancing on the top of the hills in Lensdowne, getting high in Goa, driving in Goa, looking for Bhang at 2am in the morning in the slams of Mumbai, playing Holi, boat rides through the waters of Kerala, eating new food and experiencing something different every single day of the trip!
India!!!
You will be missed.
And I am coming back for more....
